The Deutsch-Ungarisches Jugendwerk and the Széchenyi István College for Advanced Studies have the pleasure to invite you to a public lecture by Dr. Kai-Olaf Lang, Senior Fellow at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) – the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in Berlin.

The lecture will explore the prospects and challenges of the European Union’s next potential enlargement rounds, examining the political, economic and security dimensions that shape this complex process.

About Dr. Kai-Olaf Lang

Dr. Lang is a Senior Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), one of Europe’s leading foreign-policy think tanks advising the German government and parliament. He holds a diploma in public administration and a doctorate in political sciences. His fields of expertise include:

  • Central and Eastern European countries and their transformation processes

  • Domestic politics and foreign policy in the CEE region

  • EU enlargement and its implications

  • Security issues in Central Europe

  • European Neighbourhood Policy
